Key Facts
Megève was visited in 1916 by Baronness Noémie de Rothschild who subsequently built the Hotel Mont D'Arbois thus launching the resort as a serious rival to
St. Moritz amongst European Royalty.
The village is nestled around a medieval church in the pedestrianised centre. In the 60's it used to be the height of chic to winter holiday here;
not just for the skiing but also for the beau monde with whom you could rub shoulders. Megève has bags of atmosphere and ambience,pretty tree-lined skiing and
an abundance of luxurious hotels and luxury chalets. The skiing is suited to beginners and intermediates, and advanced skiers can visit Chamonix, merely 45 minute's away.
Après ski is lively as you would expect from this resort, starting from lunchtime the bars, cafés and restaurants are busy and they do not stop until the early hours.
Megève is ideally located for ski weekends and corporate ski events just 1 hour from Geneva Airport. The quality of the hotels, massive conference center, uncrowded pistes and great restaurants,
all lend themselves perfectly for ski weekends.
